How come bigger cities get disaster relief while smaller cities get ignored? What I mean is that when my small town of 50,000 people (not small to most people) got flooded out two years ago in a 100 year flood, no one had a benefit concert for us. There were no celebrities raising money for our relief. Most of the residents in town didn't have flood insurance because they weren't considered to be in a flood zone. Most of them had to move because their houses were inhabitable. When Nashville, New Orleans or New York gets flooded, all of a sudden it is a big deal and there are numerous benefit concerts and shows on TV. Garth Brooks did a series of concerts in Nashville to raise money when they got flooded. He didn't play in my town after more than half the town was flooded. Bruce Springsteen didn't give a rats ass about us. Tom Hanks didn't host a special on TV to raise money for us. I'm not mad that those larger cities got disaster relief and media attention because those residents need help too. I'm mad that most other towns get completely ignored when a disaster hits. It's just not fair!! [angry]
